# JOY Automart Automotive Glossary

> Public terminology for users and automated clients interpreting JOY Automart content.

## JOY Automart

JOY Automart is an automotive intelligence platform connecting diagnostics, parts discovery and sourcing, workshop and dealer workflows, vehicle commerce, logistics, and bespoke engineering.

## HERMES

HERMES is JOY Automart's agent framework. Public HERMES-related experiences are distinct from Owner/Admin or privileged agent authority. A model response does not by itself prove that an external action was executed.

## MAYA

MAYA is JOY Automart's public AI receptionist and automotive assistant. MAYA helps users navigate automotive questions and JOY services but does not expose Owner/Admin authority.

## VIN

A Vehicle Identification Number is a standardized vehicle identifier. VIN information can help resolve make, model, model year, manufacturing context, and other attributes used during fitment or vehicle research. A VIN decode alone may not establish every option or supersession required for exact parts compatibility.

## Fitment

Fitment is the compatibility relationship between a vehicle configuration and a component. Correct fitment can depend on VIN or chassis, model year, engine, drivetrain, body specification, market, option codes, OEM references, and superseded part numbers.

## DTC

A Diagnostic Trouble Code is a code reported by an onboard diagnostic system. A DTC identifies a detected condition or system area; it is not automatically the root-cause diagnosis.

## Trade OS

Trade OS is JOY Automart's B2B automotive trade and sourcing environment for workshops, trade buyers, and related automotive businesses.

## Dealer OS

Dealer OS is JOY Automart's dealer-oriented operating environment for vehicle-commerce and dealer workflows.

## Workshop OS

Workshop OS is JOY Automart's workshop operating environment for service context, diagnostic workflows, parts, jobs, and evidence-oriented repair operations.

## JOY VELLOX

JOY VELLOX is JOY Automart's bespoke engineering and personalization line. Public concepts are not a guarantee of final specification, compatibility, regulatory approval, price, or delivery timing.

## JOY Governance

JOY Governance is the authorization boundary for privileged or state-changing capabilities. Authentication, role and capability checks, validation, audit evidence, and other policy controls may apply before an operation can execute.

## Execution evidence

Execution evidence is the machine-verifiable information that supports a claim that a runtime or external action actually occurred. Depending on the surface, this can include an execution identifier, provider/model evidence, timestamp, result state, or other provenance.

## Fail closed

Fail closed means that when required identity, policy, runtime, evidence, or verification is unavailable, the system denies or marks the capability unverified instead of assuming success.
